We opened a shop in Belpre………here’s why

When I first arrived back in the valley after a few years away, I was quickly whisked into a committee of concerned and eager citizens from the Belpre Chamber. The Economic Development Committee as they were so called, were the front lines of promoting and attracting business in the community.

It wasn’t long after that meeting our staff realized, they need stronger partnerships.

For this reason we are going all in. We have moved a base of operation into the Belpre Chamber Office at 713 Park Drive. We are starting with being here twice a week, but will be in area as much as possible.

For years the City of Belpre has been faithful to the Port Authority in their commitment and giving, this is the best way we know how to say thank you. From the office we hope to come

alongside city staff in their effort to educate and place new business, assist the Chamber in its promotion of events and community outreach, and better understand the needs of the community and identify parcels for development and re-use.

This move has been a long time coming but we are glad it is finally upon us. In the meantime come and visit us here for a cup of coffee and a chat. We want to hear more about what the business community is working on, where the city hopes it can be in 15 years, and how the Port Authority can better serve business interests in western Washington County.
